Questions about Shipment for Virtual Products

As part of my project to sell eBooks on VirtueMart, I'm thinking of using the Shipment for Virtual Products plugin. I'd like to know if it's enough to protect me against illegal downloads and copies, or would you advise me to use additional solutions?
