Adding fields to the category configuration / admin page

Hello,

I'd like to add some fields to the category page. For example you can set a description or title. But I'd like an extra field for another description and a subtitle. Where can I do this? If I have to hack the core that is not a big deal.

You can do overrides in admin end to. Please see  Joomla overrides documentation.

uno momento. The overrides work for the old template the old way, yes.
But you must wait for the next version, so that you can override the vmadmin template with overrides in the ISIS template

I fixed it now by overriding the menu item XML and adding the fields to that XML file.
