Set up fesh system with old data.... Without the junk. How to?

Hi, i would like to set up my web shop new, and import only the active products and images. Even though i have deleted many old products, there is still a flood of images and broken links i cannot get tamed. So i would like to delete all old products we dont have anymore, export those in a file, clean up the shop, and then install the products and the related images, plus all settings for the shop if possible. I have the latest joomla and VM running, but most products have been added 8-9 years ago to an old 1.x vm version....

So what do you suggest?

You have jmigrator to copy from Vm 1 to vm 2 or 3. Can be donwloaded here https://www.daycounts.com/jmigrator (not you have to  buy Vm plugin too).
Permit to add orders, customers and users to, not only products.

If you have only 1 main images and only need main product informations you can export the table jos_vm_product  as CSV with phpmyadmin for eg. and can use an import tool as csvi or my tool Vm Be PRO. Can be donwloaded here https://shop.st42.fr/en/products/vm-be-pro-batch-product-edit.htm
