Product information and attached media inside of joomla articles

if you need to integrate your product data into custom Joomla articles or even into modules like roksprocket mosaic -
it can be done with just a few lines of PHP. Surely Virtuemart Development experts can do this much better, so any
improvement /simplification / suggestion is greatly appreciated:

To do this, best is to write a content plugin (or a module) and not integrate directly your code in the template

Sounds like a cleaner solution - would you mind sharing such a plugin / module ? I need to stay within the time budget....
