images dont popup

hello  , on a joomla 2.5.22 website im running a 2.6.22 version of virtuemart.
now, each product has these small pictures, these media files below it.
i got 2 problems.

1. the main media file/picture does show, but once you ve clicked it and it pops up/enlarges there is no 'closing cross' or anything, you have to use your browsers 'go back one page arrow' to go back on the site again.
2. the media file/product image thumb that is second in row, does not enlarge. it just doesnt pop up.

JavaScript/template issue. Probably because you are loading jQuery twice.

ok, thanks, how to avoid this? merge the two jQuery files? of just delete one?
