Hi,

We are trying to implement the sort dropdown on our site and we can get it to display and have price and creation date in the dropdown.
The problem is when we change the sort order it only displays the first three items.

Is there a setting we need to change to display them all in the selected order or are we missing something obvious.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Jenkinhill,

Sorry, we are pretty new to Virtuemart.

We are running
VirtueMart 2.9.9.2
Joomla 3.3.6 Stable
PHP 5.3.29

Our site is at https://www.jjdesignerwatches.com
When we go to the New menu and select price from the dropdown we only see three products displayed and the sort order dropdown no longer shows.

Thanks
Richard

And the same with order by created date.

Problem is most likely related to the fact that you are using a pre-release beta version of VM3, and since then hundreds of changes have been made, mainly to fix bugs, but also to fix performance and security issues. Current version is 3.0.12
Also your Joomla version is old and insecure.  Current version is 3.4.5    See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=133.0

I would not recommend running a store site with those old versions. If the site is hacked then there could be serious consequences, especially if customer data is compromised, as well as a loss of reputation for the retailer.

Upgrading will almost certainly break the Joomla template overrides so start the process on a backup copy of the live site so the overrides can be rebuilt - or use a template suitable for current J/VM versions, such as those from https://www.virtuemarttemplates.eu or  https://www.virtueplanet.com/joomla-templates.  It is not a large site so the rebuild time would not be considerable.
