Paypal Standard and Express Checkout Errors

Every time I check out with paypal express checkout button I receive the following messages:

Error:
Programming error,Paypal expresscheckout: virtuemart_paymentmethod_id is 0

Notification:
An error occurred. The payment has not validated. Please choose another payment

The problem seems to take place only when I don't pass a "Bill to Address". Otherwise everything works like a charm, but this is not the purpose of Express Checkout. I've acquired paypal's sandbox api username, password and signature and made every setting up needed . What am I doing wrong?

I gave up express checkout and chose standard checkout. Every time I make a payment through PayPal Standard and I'm redirected to the "Thank You Page", the "Total Amount", "PayPal Transaction Id" fields and "View your order" button are missing. Is there a No Buggy paypal option to choose?
