no related category icons on VM homepage products?

I'm using VM 2.6.6 and just noticed that if I click on a VM homepage product (i.e. "featured product"), no related category icons appear below the product on the product details page, and the URL is very long (it includes all the subcategory names). If I click on the "neighboring product" links, they do show up. And if I backtrack to the page, the icons do show up. In both those latter instances, the product URL only includes the parent category name without all te extra subcategory names...

any ideas what's happening?

it sounds like a sef url problem -

r u using some 3rd party SEF?
have you tried with all sef off?

same answer to your login problem

you should in your htaccess be forcing either with www or no www
