hide Standard Shipping method when a particular custom field is selected

Looking all around forum and other websites to find a solution

I want to hide Standard Shipping method  when a particular custom field (stitching) in selected, is it possible?

please guide me to do this.

if I was trying to add a custom field Ito a product to stop standard shipping showing then it might need to be a custom filed of a money value that standard shipping would not accept.. Eg if you had a custom field that adds say $2000 to the product but is not added to the cart .. So the attribute is not a cart value.. Then maybe if you set shipping standard to only accept orders of less that than $1999.00 ...then shipping standard will not show..


The idea is to try and get a custom filed that will knock out the shipping based upon, postcode, weight, money value or min, max orders..
I have those set so that standard shipping only shows when the value of a good is above a certain amount..


Now if you are really at a Loss. Look in the extensions above .. I'm sure that you could purchase an extension or pay someone to add that into standard shipping.. Eg don't show if field x is selected.
