VM2 stockable child VARIANT problem

VM-2.6.6
PHP 5.3.28

I have a product ESO485 -Black SIZE 10 and only 1 piece in stock.  The Parent stock quantity has 40 in stock.  When I place an order for that specific item more than one it accepts it.  In other words doesn't check the child quantity but it checks the parent because when I place an order of that item more than 40 it place it into the cart with max quantity of 40. .  The strange is when I have 0 stock for the child then I get the NOTIFY ME instead of the ADD TO CART.
Please help

Did you try with one of the latest versions? I'm not shure, but the problem might have been fixed in VM 2.6.10 as well as in the latest 2.6.12 and VM 3.0.0

I am using VM 2.6.6, I thought it was the last one, as it doesn't automatically suggests me to upgrade ?...

Make sure you upgrade on a test site first and just use the normal Joomla installer - do both the component and AIO
Let us know what you find cos afaik this problem  (from memory) was still in the last 2.6.12 I did with stockable variants

I am not sure I will upgrade to VM 3, as it appears not all of my components are compatible... I will stop at 2.6.12, hoping your memory is wrong GJC :p
