user account administration activation emails sending delay

Hello,

My client needs to have all users registrations approved by administrator before the client can access the store. The reason is that they only want to permit customers from certain territories having access to the store pricing, whilst customers from other territories who have a local distributor they want to prevent seeing the online pricing. This is not ideal, but that's what the client wants.

It does all work ok like this (now, but only since VM2.6) with VM registration, but there is one small issue I would like to be able to change. At present, it can take up to an hour for the system to send the email to the administrators notifying them of a new registration after the customer has verified their email address. This means that the customer is left hanging and waiting during that time, which is obviously not ideal. So, if possible, I would like to be able to reduce that delay to as short as possible.

So, my question is: where is this delay in sending the email from VM back-end to the administrators controlled? Is it something I can change somehow?

Thanks for any tips or clues on how this works.

cheers

It will be mail server/mail client delays, nothing you can change in Joomla/VM as the response there is instant - at least on all my installs it is.
