Which version of VM should I upgrade to with saving of urls of a site?

Hello

I'm having problems with the work of VM 2.0.18a based shop. Some times products in a cart become to have incorrect cost of some added product. We decided to upgrade our Joomla2.5+VM2.0.18a software to a new one.
Please help me to find the answers on these questions:
1. Do I have to update Joomla version first before making VM 2.0 upgrade?
2. Which new version of VM 2.0 should i choose to preserve urls structure in shop? (VM 2.0.26d or VM 2.6?)

Joomla should be on 2.5.20  - do this first

check you have the minimum php version for 2.6.1 (5.3.10)

If so update to 2.6.1 - I have never seen any change in urls between upgrades

All the normal provisos - backup - backup and backup - use the Joomla installer to update - forget the live updater

do you know is there anywhere table with data about all VM versions and minimal PHP version fo them?
I need to know minimal version for VM 2.0.18a

also if it was docced as to the min for vm2.0.18 it would be ancient--
the min for 2.6 is 5.3.10 which is already super old
