error Status of ordered products

I'm using the Virtuemart 2.0.8 and Joomla 2.5.6
I came across this error and have been trying to figure out how to fix it. Everyone please take a look and help me with this problem as soon as possible. Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks.
It seems like I can't pick 2 different statuses for the " Status of ordered products". If I choose "update status" then the "status of ordered products " will turn to be the same....

...if I choose " update status" then all the previous statuses will be updated too, include the " status of order product" then automatically send an email to my customers. I want to be able to have different statuses for different products so the customers know whether correct information about the products.. For example, my customer wants to order 2 items but one of them is out of stock. How can I ask Virtuemart to automatically send email to the shopper with two different statuses for the ordered products to inform them that one is still available and one is out of stock
