Unable to Edit Products in Products/Inventory

I am currently running VM  2.0.24.  I had run the update for 2.0.6.  The update caused all kinds of issues for my VirtueMart.  The products disappeared and once I figured out the language issue to get the products back, the products on display were stacked on top of each other. I think it overrode our custom template.  I uploaded the back up of my site and database to correct the errors.  It managed to fix the display issues.  I ended up with a new problem.  When I go into my products page and then click on a product to edit the page will go to a basic page with the VM menu running down the left site. (this action also includes if I try to add a new product or use any of the menu buttons on the top right of the page.)

I have been searching for a similar issue and I have not found a forum or a tutorial with a similar issue.  If anyone could help me out I would very much appreciate it.

I was checking to see if anyone may have a slight idea on what is wrong with my company's site.
