Hi
I have joomla 2.5.16, VM 2.0.24, and a Gavick template.
I have read all possible tutorials on configuring emails.
After several tests, I tried disabling some joomla plugins , and when I disabled the Spanish plugin, it worked, and customer and seller received the confirmation email.
I wrote to the Gavick template forum, but they say that they don't know why that happens.
I changed the Spanish language from joomla.org to joomlaspanish language pack, but with the same result.
Is there anything in virtuemart configuration that is causing this?
I need spanish language and I also need confirmation emails! I hope you can help me.

What exactly do you mean with "I disabled the Spanish plugin"? In general the installed Joomla language pack and the installed VirtueMart language pack should bear the same language tag. For example, if you use the 'normal' spanish language packs, the language tags are es-ES. But if you use for example es-CL in Joomla, you also need the es-CL VirtueMart language pack.

In version 2 of virtuemart is no longer necessary to install virtuemart language. Virtuemart recognizes joomla language.
I installed joomla in English and after Spanish language package from joomla.org.
When the problems started, one of the things I did was disable the plugins that might be causing problems, and one of them was the Spanish language plugin of joomla.org, which was es-ES. When I did, the site worked perfectly, only in English.
I thought the package and language could bring a problem as well is that I uninstalled and installed the Spanish language pack joomlaspanish.com (do not know if it's the same package), but I thought it was different, also en-files. But it has not worked.
At the moment I have disabled the Spanish package to testing with emails.

I had an idea what it could be.
I configured virtuemart as multilingual  ... will that be?
But now do not know how to configure virtuemart than ads, does not allow me to delete the language in Configuration> Shop> Languages Settings> Multilingual Shop

VirtueMart checks your Joomla default language, but you still need to install two spanish VirtueMart language packs from here: http://virtuemart.net/community/translations
If you want a multilingual shop, please read this short tutorial: http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/36-multilingual-store/99-multilanguage-setup.html

If your confirmation emails are not working, that's probably a different configuration problem. Did you check if you receive other emails, like for example if you use the 'Ask a question about this product' contact form or the Joomla contact form?

I installed the VM language packs -
This helped me translate several words that I was translating by hand in .ini files, thanks!
Anyway it has not fixed the problem of email purchase confirmation.
The joomla site has the same email that I have setup in virtuemart store, with that there would be no problem.

When I have the site in Spanish language:

Ni as a buyer or as a seller I receive a email confirmation when I make a purchase.
As vendendor I receive the email for "Ask a question about this product", but as a buyer or user I do not receive a copy to my email.
As a seller and as a user I recieve email from joomla contact form smoothly.

The problem is in virtuemart. It is strange that in "Ask a question about this product" I (seller) receive an email telling me to purchase, but at the same time the person asking the question does not receive a copy in the mail.

And really I think I don't need a multilingual site. ¿How can I set virtuemart no multilingual? Although I don't know if this would change the situation.

I hope you help me.

I have VM 2.0.24 in Joomla 2.5 with storebox Gavick template that is sold with Virtuemart installed.
After installed the template, I installed spanish language plugin and with this began the problem, when the vendor and user purchase don't received purchase email. Before this, the emails were received without problems by the seller and the buyer. I also installed the Spanish language files for virtuemart.
I wrote to Gavick forum and they suggest me to change the template for to test, and really, the problem is not of the template because with beez template I still don't receive the purchase emails. In Gavick they suggest me that It's most likely something missing in VM translation, since VM creates separate database tables for other languages. For this, the solution maybe would be the reinstall VM, tables will be recreated if are missing.
Is this the best solution?
And if so, how do I reinstall Virtuemart? Is it normally done as an extension in joomla administrator?

I reinstall virtuemart to 2.0.26 but all are equal. I had this post in another thread because I wrote the template answer and with this the situation is different.
Please I need an answer.
