I tried to test it, but I get this message: Your payment can't be processed. Please contact the merchant directly.

One possible cause is that PayPal Pro is not enabled on your account.

If this is the sandbox account.
Login to

http://developer.paypal.com

click on applications,
sandbox accounts
click the sandbox email address
then profile
and you should see an option to upgrade the account to payments pro.

There is also a new release of the plugin on the site version 1.0.1
download and overwrite your old plugin.
No information will be lost.

I will try the new version. My paypal account is PRO. We tested the PayPal Express Checkout works perfectly.
