Nice Feature in Backend

Editing or a product in Backend is no problem with Virtuemart. If you would like to add the product link inside Joomla content the that Virtuemart Backend product link to show up a product on frontpage has a nice feature. You can get  - by clicking on it -  the raw url, which you better use if creating links in Joomla content instead of using the SEF links inside the frontend  (if SEF is on). There is just one thing, which VM does add when clicking on that backend link: The frontend view gets an additional and for our purpose useless part. You may see a link like: your domain.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=1&virtuemart_category_id=1&Itemid=. You should not copy and past the last part of that url: &Itemid=  into your Joomla content item. So taking just this: index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_id=1&virtuemart_category_id=1 for example is enough to enter it as your content link to a Virtuemart product. If you call your content from the frontend part an if sef url are on, the router does create automatically the sef url.
