Making thumbnail link to Product Details

Is there any way to redirect the image in the categories and browsing pages that turns the thumbnail into a larger image (which I don't have and it makes the entire screen freeze into that state because I can't make it collapse again) and make it head to the product details page instead?

I'm using Joomla 2.5.7 and Virtuemart 2.0.20b.

Did you test your issue on standard Joomla template (beez5)?

Did you make updates of VM in past?

The default category template on VM2.0.22 does simply have a link via the thumbnail image to the product details. So maybe you have a commercial template using template overrides for category display, in which case you will need to edit those overrides. Check the overrides in [your-Joomla-template]/html/com_virtuemart/category/ and compare with the default files in components/com_virtuemart/views/category/tmpl/

A "screen freeze" suggests that you do have overrides in place and probably they were written for an older VM version.

I'm using Yootheme's Nano template. I've gone through the folders and there is no com_virtuemart to check inside. There are plenty of others, but nothing for virtuemart. Thank you for the help so far.

Change to Beez20 template to see what the category function is with that template.

The same thing happens with the Beez20 template. It looks as though it's trying to load a full screen picture, but never manages and the page has to be refreshed.

It turns out I was on the wrong page when I gave you the description of the problem.

It actually doesn't occur from category pages, only when my product is a featured item. Obviously that is still something I'd like on my website, so still something I need help fixing, but at least the problem is clearer. The images work absolutely as intended at all other times.

The website isn't live yet. It's just a localhost on my home PC at the moment I'm afraid.

I'm still having this issue. I have no overrides in place for featured product displays, and it only happens when the product is featured. It happens across both my template and the default. Any help would be much appreciated.

You could place your web site on free shared hosting and give us a link.

And give link to Yootheme support also (don't forget about that).

The module templates in VM2.0.22a are set to use a fancybox script to show the enlarged image. You can edit the module template to give an override providing the same function as on the category product display.
