Custom attributes stockable plugin

Hello to all developers.

I have never seen something more ugly

Actually to create combined variants ( eg. Color and Size ) I have to :

- 1 create a new custom field for each Variant combination ( Color + Size , can be even different from Size+Color ) at leat. May be required also to put some values already, to be selected
- 2 I have to create for each combination first a child prod
- 3 after child prod I have to put combination of values

This could be meant to manage 4-5 product at max, how many time do we need more to add each product on our virtuemart backend?

Also hacking something the result is still really weird. And over all this effort to put a new one , we can't even override pictures and description ?

How can I add a plugin for custom fields without hacking the core code?
