Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDatabaseMySQL::getTableColumns()

hi all,
i upgrade  my site from joomla 1.5.26 and  VM 1.1.9  to joomla 2.5.11 and VM 2.0.20b

I followed this tutorial for upgrading from 1.1.9 to 2.0.20b

Everything went ok since i click on START MIGRATION

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDatabaseMySQL::getTableColumns() in  root/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/helpers/vmtable.php on line 1400

what do i wrong ? thanks
am using Xampp 1.8.0 with: Apache 2.4.2, MySQL 5.5.25a, PHP 5.4.4, and phpMyAdmin 3.5.1.

i did  all in joomla 1.5
1. update joomla to latest version 1.5.26
2. update VM from 1.1.3 to 1.1.9 with Path update
3. disable all  VM extension
4. change name of VM 1.1.9 in folder
5. install VM 2.0.20b
6. Start Migration

You forgot to update joomla1.5 to joomla 2.5

can you let me know, how to upgrade  joomla site from 1.5 to 2.5  with VM 1.1.9 to 2.0.20  step by step ?
