Products not seen on site, seen only in admin

Hello, although I have read many interesting topics around a subject that makes my life difficult lately, I haven't solved my issue yet.
I installed recently Joomla 2.5.9, and virtuemart 2.0.18, migrating my database from virtuemart 1.1.3.
Both Joomla and virtuemart in same language, English.

1) Although in the administrator area I can see the categories and their products correctly given to them (uploaded by csv file, using the free version of CSVI 4.5.3.2), in the site I see only the categories and not any product.
2) ALthough in the "media files" area all the product photos are seen by virtuemart, when i enter to a product page (always in administrator session), the photo or thumb is not viewable.

I then unistalled virtuemart 2.0.18 and installed 2.0.16d, changing also the main language to Greek, just to see if some miracle happens, but i was again disappointed.

Did you use the Synchronize media to VirtueMart option in VM tools?
