Hello,

I need to change my shopping cart layout and found exactly what I'm searching for within the demo site of virtuemart.net.

http://demo.virtuemart.net/index.php/2012-01-13-09-33-20/virtuemart-shopping-cart

My intention is to get a the shopping cart look and proces like this:

1. Just the contents of the cart.
2. Move to checkout with possibility to leave customers data and select "checkout as guest" or "Register and checkout"
3. .....

See also screenshots for a better understanding.

How is it possible to procedure like this?
Do I need a special extension or did I miss some settings within virtuemart?

I use Virtuemart 2 and Joomla 2.5

Thanks in advance!

Just like on the demo site. See also the screenshots.

Hello,

I use:
Virtuemart Version 2.2.18a
PHP-Version 5.3.18-nmm1
Joomla! 2.5.9 Stable

I also use:
Template Overrides
A commercial Template "PureMart"
SEF

The site is off, because I'm not ready with it.

I need some help please!

Thanks in advance!

Your theme is commercial and there is a sticked thread about such cases in this forum section.

Also do you really have such version of VM?

If I disable my commercial template by renaming the cart.php for example, then I get back to the normal VM templating.
Even by trying this I don't get the checkout step by step working.

So might be a settings thing?

Yes I use this VM version.

The VM theme part uses just template & css overrides, so you can construct it by making overrides and style to suit your Joomla template.

See http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/33-templating-layouts.html and http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/overrides

Or you can save many hours of work by ordering the theme from here: http://extensions.virtuemart.net/vm-templates/theme-shoplicious-detail

Ok Thanks!

Is it possible to use two different themes?
I'm using right now a theme and I'm happy with it.

Is there a possibility to use the new theme you suggest and just to use the overrides for the cart folder?
So to just make changes within the checkout process?

christoscologne

So I would use the Puremart template AND the Shopilicious theme both.
Is it possible? What do you think?

jenkinhill

You can combine themes - depends on how good your override/css skills are to merge them together.

Great thank you!

I just bought the theme and implemented it just for my needs.
So I use both themes now and everything seems to work fine.

Thanks a lot for your help!
