Show customfields in the productlist?

Hi,
how could show some of the customfields in the product list, gladly through overrides?
And if is there a possibility to control which of theese will be displayed?

I have a customfield ,,author", it is a bookshop.
And now I´ll show this also on the categorylist.
I have added a screenshot.
