After Migration Additional Images Missing. Tips to fix?

Hey folks, I've scoured the forum and found multiple posts about the additional images missing after migration. Most have no responses. I'm writing this with better keywords than the other posts. If there is a good solution - I missed it and would be happy if someone could point it out. OR, if you have a solution, method, or idea on how to re-connect additional images with their products, please let us hear it.

So, just to re-cap, after successfully migrating from the old VM to VM 2 (now using 2.0.12e ) all product additional images are missing from the front and back ends. The actual files are where they should be and have been "Synchronized". I understand I can fix this by re-uploading them one at a time, but I'm hoping for a more automated solution.
