Default product status

Hi!

When creating new product there is necessary to write how many products are in stock. My shop has always every product only one. So is there any way to add number one default  to stock status?

There is no setting for this.

That would require a plugin to be made for that purpose - or a core hack, which we do not support. I tried to work out how it could be done - maybe to set the product_in_stock row in the database default to not null with a valu of 1 ?
