Product order within category gets reset

In the admin, when I filter my product by category, I can then see the "order" field so as to order these products within that category.  All is well until I edit and save one of these products, at which point its category order gets reset to 1.  This has been an ongoing issue for quite I while that I am only now reporting in version 2.0.6.  Thank you.

I'm experiencing the same issue, and it's a hassle to re-order the products every time they're edited.  Any suggestions?

Same problem . . . am beginning to really hate VM . . . nothing works right :(
