Multilingual: "PRODUCT DESCRIPTION" does not save changes in the control panel

My problem is an anomaly (from the virtuemart admin panel) in the rescue of the "Product Description" (the big one so to speak, not the short description) in the secondary language. changing the language displayed the usual visual fields attributable to the flag of the language reference. in all fields, the content is recorded in the language translated ... whereas if I write the "product description", after the rescue, no change is stored, and the textbox is again occupied by the original text in Italian ...
