Remove Average customer rating

What should i do to remove "Average customer rating" from the category page? I have tried a lot of things but none worked.

I presume you have gone to configuration >shopfront>shopper review rating system>>and turned it off.
If this is correct then tell use the version you are using and what else you may have done.

Or you are after changing the wording?
