placing orders, returning customers, logging in

A customer placed an order and potentially wants to order more.

If he signed up for an account and got a password, it's not obvious to him how to log back in to that account on the website to re order.

I assume he could get to it by choosing the item he wants and then getting to the checkout part and signing in... (is this correct?)

But I also think maybe on the product page there could be a "returning customers log in to your account here" or something similar which would stand out and be obvious for re-orders.

Can this be done and if so how? Please help.

Either add a main menu link to item type VirtueMart / Account Maintenance  - they will be asked to login. Or publish Joomla's login module, maybe adding some suitable pre-text.
