Product image not appearing at product page - no img loading at sourcecode

My page shows product images at front page, but whenever I try to view the product page, the image isn't appearing there and there's only white at the image spot. If I look at source code of product code, there's nothing like as "img src=", as there is in front page source code. So it doesn't even try to load the image.

I've googled for a bit, and tried next fixes:
- Configuration -> Configuration -> Templates: Ticked all the boxes at "Activate Css Styles & Javascripts".
- Tried changing image permissions. They were already 755.

Link to website in question. Virtuemart version is 3.2.14 and Joomla is version "3.8.10 Stable [ Amani ]". PHP is 7.0.31 . I would prefer not to update anything, in fear of breaking things.

Has it ever worked ?
Turn off SEF until everything works as expected.
Try with another template, Protostar. Errors appear in Your template files.
You are missing a category ?

I changed the site default template to Protostar (and changed category template to "Joomla default") and it looks great. Thanks Jörgen and GJC!
