VM 3.2.1 Joomla 3.7.0

Good evening,
I have a problem, stupid, but I'm not able to solve it. I made search all over but no success so I ask your help...

I have a site (http://ravenna.provahosting.it/index.php) and the categories of VM have a description that is not displayed when I call the category from the menu. I think there is a setting that override the setting of the category, but I can't find it... I have another site (www.mulligan.it) , from which I made the site that is not working, and here I don't have problems with the categories description and the settings seems the same... any idea?
Thank you.

I forget to say an important thing; the 2 sites has the tables of the database concerning VM shared, so I insert only once the items and I have them on both sites. Only configuration is different but i checked and, apart from the fact that one is e-commerce and the other is catalogue, the settings are identical, thank you.

You can set this setting in the
-vm config
- joomla menu item
a) normal setting
b) subordinated setting (the setting for the subcategories)
- in the category itself.

Thank you Milbo for your answer.
I enclose the settings I have in the position you suggest and seems ok so I don't understand why I don't see them... I think it's something concerning the content sharing...
Thank you, bye.

Then I think it is a layout issue. Please check your override.

Found the problem, it was the plugin jdvthumbs, if I disable it no more problems.
