I am constantly getting this error on the fronted:
No Shop Currency defined! Contact the administrator, if your are one go to http://...index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&task=editshop

VM is only being used as a catalog, so why am I getting the error message?

If you display prices then you still need a currency set, especially if in the BE Vendor tab you have more than one currency selected under "List of accepted currencies"

No menu -------- Vendor
I can not assign a currency.
Correct the error in virtuemart 2.0.22c

You are not a vendor. SO you can't assign currency. SO you need to be a vendor. Do this. Also you could read additional information about this in forum FAQs "How to be a vendor" or so.
