I use joomla 2.5.4 with vm 2.0.4 and it is a migration from joomla 1.5 with vm 1.

When i will use and update the stored shipping addresses from an account from vm 1 i get 4 errors:

vmError: COM_VIRTUEMART_NOT_ABLE_TO_SAVE_USER_DATA
vmError: TableVendors The given Vendor name already exists.
vmError: VmTableData Sef Alias in record is missing ! Can't save the record with no Sef Alias.
vmError: store vendor

When i add a new shipping address, i get the same errors.

When i logged in with an other account, where no shipping address is stored from vm 1, i can add a shipping address without errors and the shop redirects to the cart. But the address is not stored in the account.

In vm 1 it was possible to storage different shipping addresses in the user account. Now in vm 2 i can't storage it and can't update the stored shipping addresses from vm 1.

Is this a bug or is this feature removed in vm 2?

Is here anybody who can storage different shipping adresses in the user accounts in vm2 ?

Milbo

This sounds like a bug for me, maybe the userfield tables are not reflecting correctly the userfields.

Dear Milbo

I have same problem. I have 2 websites exactly the same but:

1 is still Virtuemart 2.0.2
2 is exact copy of 1 but upgraded to virtuemart 2.0.4

Attached please find 2 printscreens:

1: Here you can see everything went fine after changing shipping address
2: here you can see the errors after changing shipping address

I hope you can fix this bug and hope to hear from you soon.

Kind regards
Renata

Here more information after testing:

This only happens when a registered user changes his/her shipping adress. if you fill in shipping adres as a quest/visitor than there is no error.

Renata,

does this ONLY happen when you are doing your vendor acount on the frontend?

Dear BanquetTables.pro

Good question, so i logged in with a "normal" account. Added my shipping address and after that tried to change my shipping address. In this case no error and everything went well.

So answer is yes: this only happens when i use my vendor/superuser account.

Kind regards

Here i am again..sorry

I dont know whether or not this should happen:

as a regular user I added 1 product in the shopping cart...changed shipping adress and logged out again. After that i logged in and the product in shopping cart has disappeared.

In my case the errors happens when I logged in frontend as administrator btw vendor.

But in both cases, when I logged in as admin or as normal user, the addresses are not stored in the accounts. The shipping address is only saved temporary.

This is correct, when you log out, you get a new session (by the browser).

When you login as admin in the normal vendor mode, the admin is treated as shopowner. Editing of admin users in FE is just not correctly working. In facht, imho not needed. We should add it, or display a message showing that people should not do it. Anyway it is planned to fix this with the upcoming multivendor.

Dear Milbo

Thanks for your reply.

I agree vendor details shouldn't be changed in the frontend. But in the past no error message was shown. And now as from version 2.0.4 it does which causes confusion as you can see.

I will inform my customer accordingly.

I see there is a new stable version of VM, so again looking forward for testing.

Thanks for everything Milbo. I want to thank you and your team for all the good work you are doing.

Kind regards

Can anyone tell where the shipping information is stored in joomla virtual-mart 2.0.6

stored?

or how you can add a shipping rate?

The rate is stored in the plugin parameters i believe.

to add a new rate

go to shipment methods and click "new"

I want to get the shipping address of the customer .. can anyone tell how to get?? i am new to joomla/virtual mart 2.0.6

I am using 2.0.12b and still get this error in front end when logged in as Admin/Main vendor.

Is there a fix for this or some settings that can be done in the back?

I also cant change vendor information in the backend either.  My admin user is set as the vendor and when I save, I get errors there too.  I already posted this question in another VM forum as initially thoug it was something to do with upgrading from VM1.1.9 in a J1.5.26 site?
J3.6.4 / PHP7.0.12
VM3.0.16
