We are using VM 2.0.2 and Joomla 2.5.2 and the site is bi-lingual - Dutch and English
When set in English the Show Cart link works, but when set to Dutch the 'show cart' (translation = 'Toon Winkelwagen') link redirects to www......../index.php/nl/?option=com_virtuemart
The site URL is www.tec-hu.com

Some help or hint is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Angelo

That usually means that the Joomla menu links to the cart are not set to the correct language. You need one for english and one for dutch with their correct language tag.

Thanks for your reply.
Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean I have to copy the cart module and set one to english and one to dutch?

Yes, exactly  :)
See example screenshot below (set for english/german). Then link a menu item from your dutch menu to 'Shopping Cart' and set the language tag to dutch and a link from your english menu to 'Shopping Cart' with the language tag set to english.

We tried it as you explained us, but it still doesn't work. In the attached printscreen you can verify it. Do you have another idea?

Apparently you did only half of that  :)
You missed to add a link to the cart in your dutch and english menu. And don't forget to select the nl or en language tag for the "View Cart" menu items.

SOLVED! .....but did I do it the right way?

1. I made a menu Show cart EN and Show cart NL
2. I published a module Cart EN and Cart NL and assigned them to the corresponding menu

Is this correct?

Not sure if I understand you correctly. You need the modules Cart EN and Cart NL, but normally you simply select "Shopping Cart" as the 'Menu item type' and the Joomla language switcher does the rest. See screenshot.

See attachments. I made two menus 'Show cart' (English and Dutch) and assigned them to the corresponding English and Dutch module 'Show cart'.
