Hey guys! Im freelancer designer and im planing to open my own, online graphic designs store , where customers can download my templates.
What is the best script/component to run such website? At the moment, im thinking to use Virtuemart or Redshop component. Any suggestions?
Virtuemart 2.02 with the downloadables plugin from http://virtuemart.cloudaccess.net/extensions-virtuemart-2 would be my choice, but you need to make your own decision.

I dont know about redshop. But I know that the new possibilities to create easily plugins for virtual goods will be soon enhanced and extended by different developers. Personally I wanna create a kind of update system, directly connected with the download plugin and the shop. So as examples.

Not glowing responses to the available options for doing digital downloads, and the cloudaccess one isnt rated for joomla 2.5 anyhow.
Just looking for a basic option to re-instate the download option like it used to be in pre-2 VM - thats all most people need and it should be open-source/license.
Oh of course it is for j2.5.

As Milbo said, it is compatible with 2.5, however it only says it is compatible with 1.5 & 1.7 on the cloudaccess (this just needs to be updated by admin to save confusion)
Also, just checking Milbo and Jenkinhill: Are these official Virtuemart Extensions @ http://virtuemart.cloudaccess.net/extensions-virtuemart-2?
There isn't going to be "Shipment for Virtual Products" included in the standard Virtuemart 2.0.? install at a later date? It will always be an paid for plugin? Fine by me, I just don't want to pay for it now and find out it becomes a core feature later.
It will stay as it is. Already some 3rd party developers writing different versions for it. The plugin we provide atm is quite basic.
Milbo did not mention that the downloadables plugin will be further developed, and updates are FOC.
