Overriding template files for php is clear, copy to template folder and change:
/templates/<template_name>/html/com_virtuemart/productdetails/*.php
What about the css files like: /components/com_virtuemart/assets/css/vmsite-ltr.css
Where do we need to place those to override?
Second question:
How can i display the number of products in a catergory in the category title.
What code to use?

you add the css file to your joomla template file, and then disbale vmart css in the configuration
