Title: Cannot enter price
Post by: stevennestler on November 14, 2011, 16:44:05 PM
I have tried to follow the advice you've given others, and I've made some progress, but I'm hampered by a lack of experience. Thanks for your patience with newbies like me!
I've attached a picture of my VM at this point.
I can't figure out: 1. how to combine the choices into one dropdown menu.
                             2. how to keep the sales price without adding the installation price until it is chosen.
                             3. how to show the installation price without tax until checkout.
Again, thanks so much.
Steven

Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure what information you need:
Joomla 1.7.3,  VM 1.9m
Please tell me what else you need.
Thanks,
Steven

I'd like to offer a dropdown with a couple of choices; no installation, or installation at an additional cost.
I thought a dropdown would look better than radio button, but at this point, I'd accept either.
Thanks,
Steven

Thanks, and I'm sorry to be a blockhead, but I'm still having an issue; I can't figure out how to add a list to the dropdown; it's working as separate dropdowns (please see attached).
Thanks for the help,
Steven

The custom field name should be "Installation" or "Add Installation?"

THEN, go to the product, "custom fields" tab

CHOOSE "Installation 2 times"

That will give you a drop box with 2 options. YOU can then edit those options

Okay, I know you've gotten me to a close point; but I seem to be displaying a bit of autism.
Where do I choose: "Installation 2 times?"
When I click on the value, I get a search field, which doesn't do me any good.  I'm obviously missing something here.
God bless you for suffering fools such as I.
Thanks,
Steven

IN THE PRODUCT, click the dropdown. THEN choose the SAME custom field 2 times
