Any recommendations for an extension that improves reporting functionality in Virtuemart?
I am registering for VAT and need to be able to generate better reports.
I am not sure what exactly my accountant needs, but it sounds like I will have to provide a report every 2 months, including invoice numbers with corresponding order totals and customer details.
The existing report feature allows you to list monthly sales by order, it then gives you the total with each order number, but it doesn't include the invoice number or customer details.
I bought "virtuemart advanced reports' many years ago and continuously had problems with it. I see there are a few different websites advertising reporting extensions now.
I need to be able to export this data to CSV.
Anyone used the extension from Total Apps?
Just a little hesitant to buy another reporting extension after the bad experience I had last time.
If u just require a csv export then a relatively simple script can do this

I have bought the reporter for Virtuemarts. There are some issues when using hidden categories and some inconsistensies when a product belongs to more than one category. But overall a nice extension.

yes, need CSV exports.
order and invoice numbers, customer names, etc. I looked at the DB, wondered if i can export directly, but i don't see all the required info on the invoice table.
wonder if CSV improved can do this.

Many of my products belong to more than one category.
Although when I require sales reports for tax purposes, I wouldn't need the category to be exported.
You can of course do this with sql queries and csv improved can do this. Setting up these tasks will take some time. Reporter will do this quicker for You. Excluding columns is no problem for reports. It is easy to cutomize.

Reporter for VirtueMart v2.8 has been released. This update includes the Invoice Number plugin. We have added the Inventory Status report option in this update. You can also download the inventory reports in CSV format. We have also added the ability to include child products of the selected products, selected categories and selected manufacturers in the report's template settings. This should resolve the hidden category issue.
