Hi there! Its been a while since I've worked with Virtuemart (I did some work during the early versions under Joomla 1) but im at a loss on how to make this work.
Im trying to set up a product where the inventory depleted is dependent on a customer selection. For example, lets say I'm selling a custom made shirt for a customer. If they order a small it would remove 1 unit from inventory, if they order a medium it would remove 2 units from inventory, etc... In this case the inventory is representative of the amount of fabric on hand instead of finished goods, so setting inventory separately isn't practical. I know how to set up product attributes, so making inventory decrease by 1 with each sale isn't the issue, its just the variable aspect I'm struggling with.
That is already integrated. Just check the product edit, where you entere the stocks.
