I've been searching posts and plugins, but can not find the solution, the closest one was a forum thread related to VM1 and it doesn't work for VM3.
I need to select child products by main image (not name, not sku, not any of the default options). Can't do it with image custom field because when selecting it needs to go to a child product with its own sku.
Any suggestions or link to commercial solution will be greatly appreciated!
Using VirtueMart 3.6.10 on Joomla! 3.9.18
I guess this is not a problem, but an image descibing what You want to do would be really helpful.

Combined with the Custom Fields For All plugin, can provide custom fields like buttons or color buttons.
Image is not yet supported but maybe it can.
See the image, in two parts: backoffice & front-end. When you add a Generic Child Variant there is a dropdown where you have to select which field of the child product will be used in the front-end for the customer to select the variation. I need that, in this dropdown, I could use the main image as the data that the dropdown will show in the frontend.
