For my company, I hope to have all orders processed through virtuemart.
If a customer calls and places their order over the phone, our customer service reps will place the order through the website (virtuemart).
Sometimes, there might be a unique pricing situation for orders that the customer service rep takes on the phone. Some examples:
- a customer buys a package of items, therefore we may wish to charge a retail rate on one item, but discount the others.
- a customer may ask us to price match a competitor.
Other than having a crazy coupon system for endless variations on thousands of products, are there any suggestions?
One idea I think would be nice is if an ADMIN while checking out on the front end as a customer, could "override" a price OR submit a custom price on a product.
