Title: Unable to update orders with "Latest" stripe checkout mode

After a successful payment, orders are not updated, order emails not sent to store owner and customer when Stripe checkout mode "Latest" is selected.

Everything works fine with "Legacy" mode.

Joomla/VirtueMart versions? Which Stripe plugin (ie from which 3rd party developer)?

php version: 7.1.33
Joomla version: 3.9.12.
Stripe: Stripe checkout for virtuemart
