I know there is another similar thread but over a year old doing the rounds, hopefully nobody minds me starting this one from scratch as it is a slightly sifferent error anyway.
This is happening suddenly across several shops i run on the same server. I have checked all the listed PP IP's are whitelisted on the server but this is still happening.

2019-10-23 09:51:19 ERROR checkPaypalIps: Error with REMOTE IP ADDRESS = 66.211.170.66.
The remote address of the script posting to this notify script does not match a valid PayPal IP address
These are the valid IP Addresses: 66.211.169.17,173.0.88.8,173.0.84.40,173.0.88.40,173.0.84.8,173.0.81.33,173.0.81.1The Order ID received was: ZN4F0699

I am puzzled by the last line as they are all PP addresses according to the PP website.
I have the IPN set to yes in the plugin and have experimented with the IPN on and off in the PP account to no effect.
I am a little out of date with VM 3.4.2 on Joomla 3.9.12 but a couple of other components would need to be updated to be able to go latest versions which i cant do at the moment so hoping this is a server wide issue really as they all started doing it at the same time.
Any ideas please?

If updating be sure to check on a backup copy of the live site.
Please check the thread mentioned by jenkinhill. I posted something that could fix 3.4.2 temporarily.
