is there a way to moderate the buying of product?
I mean that some products of our catalogue shouldn't be directly bought by users. Users should be in touch (email, ...) with an shop admin to be allowed to buy these products.
Is it possible?

use a different product details template over ride and remove the add to cart .. add a label and adapt the ask a question form to your needs

You made me discover that there could be different details templates available for a product. It's perfect to customize some pages. Great.
But with this solution, there's never a add to cart button. It's "only" a discussion between client and moderator.
How could we add the checkout process after the moderator OK?
Is it possible to have a pending order until an admin says OK and validates it?
So then the normal process (payment, etc.) can continue...
