Hi
I have a customer who wants to get rid of the update-button in the cart layout. They want the prices updated immediately whenever the amount field loses the focus (blur-event trigger or alike). The change has to be update-proof. Can anybody make me an offer for this?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Marion
standard checkout?
But I think the usability of this will be so horrible!!
Page reloads because u leave a field? Most users will think WTF was that?
Possibly easier to build in say VP OPC or Rupostal that has a large ajax structure already there
Where do clients come up with silly ideas like this? Are they loosing 100's of orders because the clients are physically/mentally/religiously incapable of clicking an update button?
Just tell them it would be a minimum €300+ and if they are silly enough to accept go for it.. ;)
GJC Web Design, i dont think it's a bad idea. When you update the quantity in the product details, the price is update too.
The big problem is that the update reload all the checkout part by default, so as you wrote, you have near a day to do it.

Thank you all for your answers and for the several offers I got by personal messages.
I don't need any further offers now. I'll send the details of the job to those 3 who placed their offers first and decide among them. If none of them can help me, I'll contact the people who made later offers.
Please do not send any new offers now. Thank you!
Hi everyone
Just to let you know what came out. I hired somebody to do it. Now it's working exactly the way I wanted. It only took a few lines of JavaScript coding. By far not as difficult as was suggested in some posts.
Best regards,
Marion
It depend the template you use. I prefer say the maximum time more before know all the work.

I hope you didn't think I was critizising you. Because I wasn't. It's clear that you can't estimate the work it takes just from a rough description. :)
I was rather suggesting that it is no help to call customers silly instead of looking for a solution. ;)
It was me that called them silly -- ;)

Sorry i never call customers silly, i know that some never worked before on a computer. If i call some silly or stupid, it's some coder or designer that not even try to understand
@ Studio 42: you were not the target of my remark. It was GJC Web Design. But he/she made it all up with helping me in another case. :)
So no bad feelings left on my side!
@ anybody keeping on sending me private messages: THE JOB IS DONE. NO NEED FOR ANY OFFERS ANY MORE. Thank you.
