I have some products that are in multiple categories.
they have the same canonical URL, so no SEO problem.
my problem:
as I said products have multiple URLs. VirtueMart chooses one of them as canonical.
but I wanna choose which route to be as canonical.
How can I do this?
In version .15 you can choose the canonical url for a product
This allows you to specify the canonical url for a product that is in multiple categories
Shame you did not include any information about versions etc that you use.
Same problem with multicategory products but with urls.
For examle i have Product A in Base category -> Category A and Category B. In the settings of Product A set Force canonical category to Category A. But URL of this product from base category is to ategory B! Why and how can i fix this?
Show us what the canonical URL is when you visit the product in category B and when you visit from category A
The canonical URL is correct on the page. But the product URL is not correct from the parent category and does not match the canonical link.

Url must be the same like canonical URL.

Show admin setup for this product (category, canonical category).
If you not send, then it is only academic debate :)
