Hi there, I'm new in the forum.
I'm running VirtueMart 3.2.1 on Joomla 3.6.5 and I just had a very strange issue: one of my customers completed a order after 5 months!
The order was placed as pending in July and then completed few hours ago.
How it's possibile? I can't understand how he could keep it in his cart for 5 months without session expired...
Any idea?

The cart is saved for users who abandoned a cart while logged in. Details are saved in the db in ###_virtuemart_carts

The idea behind that is exactly to reduce old pending orders.
You say order pending ? Then it was not a abandoned cart that became an order right ? I use an extension that can complete a pending order, but You are not using finalize order plugin, or Do You ?
Another guess would be that the customer somehow had the link to Paypal payment stored in the browsers cache and made Another payment request with the old order number on page update. Is it really a 5 months old order that got copmpleted ?
