I am using Virtue Mart Version 2.5.17.
I want to change the appearance of my currency selector module but i am unable to do it. I want it same as the SEARCH MODDULE. I want the Change currency button on the right side of the drop down of currency selector instead of top. Picture is attached.
Is there any possible way of doing it.

That is a 3 years old VirtueMart version, you are unlikely to get a response as most have been using VM3 for 2 years or so. That old version is known to be insecure so should not be used on a live site: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

Which version is best to update on?
The version is updated to 2.5.28. How to update to the 3.x version?
If you are not already using Joomla 3.7.x then you would be advised to update Joomla first and then update your VirtueMart version. However, you appear to be using a commercial template, so you should first check that the template is available for use with the latest Joomla version and has overrides designed for VM3, as the VM template system was changed (and much improved) for the VM3 series.
Test any updates on a copy of the live site.
