Title: how to remove "add to cart" button on initial product page

I have Virtuemart 3.0.18.  Currently, the product page will allow you to "add to cart" without prompting to choose a size and this is a problem.  How can I remove the "add to cart" button on the initial product page, forcing you to click on product details first?

Uncheck Parent orderable in custom fields.
