I have a problem with discounts where there are colour options.
Example 1: I order more than 5 units selecting one colour, I receive the discount. This works.
Example 2: If I order 1 of each colour for a total of 5 units, I do not receive the discount. This does not work.
Can Virtuemart be configured so that a discount is applied when the order matches Example 2?

We have it set up as a 'string custom field' according to my developer.
We're also running J3 with latest VM 3.0.9

if it really is a custom field string it shouldn't have any effect on the product.. this is just a label ..
I think your dev hasn't told u correctly
And also the latest VM version is 3.0.12 - 3.0.9 was really a test/development version.

I've updated to latest VM and still no joy.
Discount total totals don't appear in Discount column on Cart page and Discounts are not applied when ordering 1 of each color for a total of 5 items which should be discounted when 5 items are orders.
Ordering 5 of 1 color does discount correctly but also won't appear in Discount column on Cart page.
Any insights into what we're missing her?

Seems you use the multiple product pricing, so the system cant combine the different products. If you want to use this, you need rules per category and the quantity plugin.
